How to Cozy Up Your Home

Whether you just moved into a new place or you have been there a while, it is never too late to cozy up your home! Think about the space within your home that may be less than cozy. Are there quick and easy ways to make it feel cozier with minimal effort? Of course. If you don’t know where to start, don’t worry. We have you covered! Here are a few ideas that will cozy up your home in no time.

Light Some Candles

Getting a fragrant candle will help you create a calm and cozy environment. Shoot for a scent that will comfort and relax you. You know yourself best, so be sure to pick one that is going to please all the senses! Also, don’t be afraid to burn a couple at a time for maximum coziness! Just be sure that they are all the same scent or that they complement each other. We like fruity and musky scents, but they may not be the best combo together.

Create a Personalized Blanket

We are sure you have tons of cozy blankets, but do you have a blanket that is comfortable and heartfelt at the same time? Probably not! Well, you can get blankets with photos on them. A personalized blanket will not only keep you warm, but it will also warm your soul knowing you are surrounded by your loved ones.

Make Sure it is free From Clutter

When you think cozy, you think about being surrounded by stuff or being in a smaller space. However, those two things don’t have to be true. You don’t have to be surrounded by clutter to feel cozy. In fact, you may feel better, calmer, and more relaxed when your space is clean and clutter-free. It is a good idea to pick decor to organize your unique space and get rid of those things that don’t contribute to your home in a positive way. Once you are surrounded by necessities, you are bound to feel the most comfortable.

Put Your Lights on Dimmers

Tired of the harsh light that comes from lightbulbs and screens? You may not be able to limit screen time if you are working from home, but you can try and change how harsh the rest of the lights in your home are. By putting your bulbs on dimmers, you can make it feel warmer and cozier in seconds.

Use Warm Tones While Decorating

If you are changing a few major things like paint color, couch covers, and sheet sets, you should consider going with warmer tones. This will help instantly boost the cozy factor of your home and get you on your way to warming the place up. You can also add flannel and buffalo plaid to take it up a notch! You will be so cozy that you won’t know what to do with yourself!

Make it Unique to You

Everyone has their own wants for their own home, including when it comes to making it cozy. Something to remember is that you have to stay true to yourself and make the space your own! Yes, it is great to draw inspiration from others, but don’t forget to stay true to yourself! This will make you happier and you will want to stick with these changes for longer. Plus, you will be putting your money into a worthy cause.

We hope that at least one of these ideas sparks your cozy bone and that they help you make a more comfortable and relaxed environment in your home. As long as you are happy and feel your best in your new space, that’s all we care about. Stay cozy!
