Blocked drains are the most hated situation for every people staying in the house. The dislike is quite obvious owing to the mess it creates and even accompanying foul odour at times. But, we all are familiar with this situation as it is quite common in every house.

Stretch a metal hanger and send it across the hole to pass through the stuck stuff. Pull out the hanger slowly which will bring out the unwanted elements with it. Repeat the process multiple times until the drains are completely cleared.
2. Vacuum Punch unclogs the drains: – One of the most effective tools is a vacuum cleaner. If you have a vacuum machine it can serve you to clear the drains most efficiently and effectively. All you need to do is to turn the vacuum to wet vacuum mode and place it over the one end of the drain. Cover the vent in order to avoid creating a mess around. Tightly seal the part at which the vacuum is connected with the drain and turn the setting to maximum. The vacuum machine acts magic as it pulls out all the garbage stuck in the pipe and throws it in the bag. Then you can collect this garbage and dispose them easily.
3. Use the chemical reaction of baking soda with vinegar: – The chemical solution of baking soda and vinegar causes a vigorous fizzing action which in turn when poured into the drains agitates the junk and breaks down into smaller parts. Let the process go on for an hour or two and they flush the drains with hot water to unclog the blocked drains. This method works only with lighter junks such as hairs and grime.
4. Pressure with boiling water: – Minor blockage of drains can be cleared by flushing with hot water giving a bit extra pressure on the flow. In case of a blocked drain in the bathroom due to sublimation of foams and soaps particles, this method comes really handy in unclogging the drain. When you apply some extra pressure with the hot water, it not only pushes the dirt out but also softens and melts the solid garbage and flushes them out. Hence, the blocked drains are cleaned in this method without any extra tools.
These are few simple steps by which the blocked drains can be unclogged at home. But, in case of extreme cases such as Complex bends and turns of pipes you might need the help of a plumber to get the job done.
