A good player can make or break a game, which is the reason a good coach will keep the star player in tip-top shape. Practice really does make a difference, but you already know that. The following are five additional wellness tips to help keep your high school football star in optimal shape. 

Wellness Through Food

Your body is only as good as the food you put in it, which is the reason you need to make sure your football star is paying attention to his or her diet. Organic, fresh, and only natural food is what your star should eat. Other food will not supply the energy your player needs. 

Stillness in the Mind

The mind is a powerful thing, and you should make sure that your player is facing all the challenges he or she might be going through effectively. This is the reason you need to make sure that you promote mind healthiness. You can do this by simply allowing him or her to attend yoga or meditation classes. These types of activities can help de-stress your star player, and that is what you want. 

Rewarding Really Matters

You can create situations where your star player is rewarded for his or her hard work. Everyone needs a little encouragement and appreciation from time to time so they know their work really matters. You want to make sure you create moments for your star player as much as possible. Offer awards, or throw parties whenever possible.

There is no way around it, your football star is involved in a sport that may give a body a beating. The sport is quite physical, which is the reason you need to make sure you focus on physical and occupational therapy with the help of experienced orthopedic associates  These individuals know the game and understand the injuries, which should make it easier to keep your star player in good shape. 

Emotional Support Works

A player who is not in the right place emotionally is not going to play as well. You do not want your football star to be in this position, so make sure you create an environment of trust. You want to be able to talk to him or her about real stuff if necessary. No one is saying you are going to have all the answers, but being there is enough sometimes.
