Sirvve – Making Meals to Make Lives Better

It has been a pleasure working with our partner, Sirvve.

Sirvve is one of the most exciting services I’ve seen in a long time, and I can’t wait to tell you why. If you’ve ever suffered a loss, helped someone through a loss, seen a new family struggle, or watched anyone going through any of the many seemingly-insurmountable struggles of life, then you’ve also seen that food is the ultimate way to say, “I care about you, and I’m here to help.” That’s why I love Sirvve. They took the idea of food trains to an entirely new place, the 21st century.

Putting the Sirvve in Serve

Before we go any further, I think it’s important to know the story behind the company. This is a southern company with southern sensibilities. That sensibility is this: food makes hard times easier. Whether it be the flavor or simply not having to make something when you’re overcome with grief or trying to wrangle a new child, food is the great equalizer. It feeds both the body and the soul. The founder of Sirvve knows that.

Perhaps the most amazing part of this company is that it was founded based on the simple truth that giving back and showing you care is of utmost importance in this life. The founder’s brother-in-law was diagnosed with cancer, and watching her twin sister try to raise four children and help take care of her husband really brought home how important meals are. When you have no time, no energy, or both, a fully prepared meal can save your sanity.

As a 30-year veteran of the hospitality industry, the founder decided to put her knowledge to work and build a business around helping people give the most common, welcome, and iconic gift anyone struggling can receive – meals.

How it Works

Sirvve brings together meal trains and crowd-sourcing to help people provide curated, chef-crafted meals to those who are either suffering from illness or loss or helping those who are struggling. If you’ve ever started or given to a crowd-funding program of any sort, you’ll quickly see how this platform works. I also want to point out that this is a FREE platform. That’s an important point.

First, an individual creates a campaign for someone in need, whether it be a struggling family, a person battling an illness, or a caregiver. Then, the creator will invite friends and family to give healthy, fully cooked meals. This is where things are different from traditional meal trains, though. No one cooks and the food is delivered for you.

Recipients will be pleasantly surprised when they receive a variety of delicious meals that can be heated and served easily. I know I was. I have to admit, my favorite so far is Bourbon Peach Cobbler!

Sirvve will prepare and deliver the food to the specified person or persons in the campaign. In addition, the person starting the campaign will be able to note important factors like allergies and food sensitivities so each and every meal can be enjoyed without worry.

And before I move on, I want to share something else the company does that is so important. In addition to helping us help families that we know through crowd-sourced meal trains, Sirvve also helps people that we don’t know. Through their Second Helpings program, they gift a meal to the food insecure for every family meal purchased.

Sirvve Helps You Help Others

As a mother, wife, daughter, and southern girl, I appreciate everything that Sirvve stands for. Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand how the gift of food can help someone going through even the toughest of times. Knowing that you’ll have a meal on the table without having to take the time to make it yourself can be an immense relief when you’re struggling. They make it easier than ever to help us help friends and family through major challenges in life. Want to help someone right now? Get started HERE.
