Pigeon Forge is a mountain town located in the east of Tennessee. It is famous for its outdoor activities, shows, food, music performances, and theater. You will not get bored as there is a wide range of activities you can indulge in, solo or with family.

From taking a brisk walk across the Great Smoky Mountains in the morning to playing mini golf at noon. You can also go-kart or stroll through the Smoky Mountains National Park. With so much to do, it can get confusing. To help you get the whole experience, here is a list of eight things you must do if you’re in Pigeon Forge.

The Pirates Voyage Dinner and Show:

Pigeon Forge is well-known for its theater shows. But there are a few that are standouts. One of these is the Pirates Voyage Dinner and Show. The show is interactive, funny, and engaging for people of all ages. You’re invited to join the famous pirate Blackbeard and his quartermaster, Calico Jack. Together, they lead their crews on full-sized pirate ships. You’ll also come across mermaids, tropical birds, and animals.

The actors deliver a brilliant performance that the kids will surely love. That, along with a delicious four-course meal, is also one of the show’s highlights. The Buccaneer Biscuit, Voyager Creamy Vegetable Soup, Corn on the Cob, and Herb-Basted Potato are a must-have.

Moreover, if you arrive early, you and your kids can join the crew with pirate and mermaid makeover sessions. No wonder it is rated as one of the best shows in Pigeon Forge.

Visit Dollywood:

Pigeon Forge is also home to Dollywood – an amusement park paying tribute to Dolly Parton. The theme park features wild rides, fares, and activities. You can watch live artists performing or ride one of the world’s fastest roller coasters.

Wildwood Grove is one of Dollywood’s new attractions, consisting of eleven themed indoor and outdoor spaces. There is also a summer fest at Dollywood’s Splash Country – a water park where you can cool off on hot days and enjoy beautiful fireworks shows at night.

In winter, more than 5 million winter lights light up Dollywood to celebrate Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas.

Take a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park:

During your stay at Pigeon Forge, you can search for waterfalls at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. During the winter season, the mountains are emptier, and when the temperature falls, you can see enchanting frozen waterfalls like Laurell Falls, The Sinks, Ramsey Cascades, The Cascades at the Chimney Tops Trailheads, and Abrams Falls. In the quiet season, wildlife is easy to spot, so you can take photos and share them with your friends and family.

Visit the Outdoor Gravity Park:

Other than New Zealand, Outdoor Gravity Park in Pigeon Forge is where you can enjoy the good rides only New Zealand offers. The adventure park has OGO, an inflatable ball where visitors can go zorbing over the hills and mountains.

It is an adrenaline-filled activity that is the park’s highlight. An eleven-foot inflatable ball is placed on top of a hill, and when you’re ready, the ball will go hurtling down the mountain with you in it.

Jump High – The top Jump Trampoline and Extreme Arena

Want to go full ninja on your trip? Check out the Top Jump Trampoline and Extreme Arena, which provides a safe and extreme adventure for the family. It is the town’s first trampoline park with all the traditional attractions, such as Dodgeball, Air Bag, Open Jump, Ninja Course, Basketball, climbing walls, an arcade, toddler’s area, and even a candy store.

Since the park is for families, there are also concessions, massage chairs, and viewing areas for parents while the kids enjoy themselves.

Karting:

Pigeon Forge has many attractions where you can race go-karts. There are more than ten tracks for you to choose from, depending on your experience level. You may be a fan of a wooden track or an adventurous track where you can feel the drop of a forty feet hill as you rush down it.

Trip to the Titanic Museum:

Take a trip to the Titanic Museum to meet the ill-fated ship that still casts a mysterious shadow on historians. The museum features artifacts collected from the sunken ship for you to see.

As you move through the museum, you’ll learn what happened on the ship that sunk in 1912. You’ll also see what it felt like to be an actual passenger through sets depicting the ship’s interior. It is a memorable experience if you are keen on history and an excellent learning experience if you visit with family.

Enjoy the Rocky Top Mountain Coaster:

One of the most popular attractions in Pigeon Forge is the Rocky Top Mountain Coaster. The roller coaster is popular among tourists as it navigates through several twists and turns through the lush forest landscape.

Take in the breathtaking views from the rollercoaster as you ride through the fantastic scenery. If you love adventure, you can take the coaster at night and enjoy a ride through the Smoky Mountains, lit up with colorful lights that make the views even more beautiful.

CONCLUSION:

In a nutshell, there are many fun indoor and outdoor activities that you can do during your trip to Pigeon Forge. You can watch live shows, shop, or stroll through stunning scenery. You can even make it a quieter experience and go hiking in the mountains if you’re visiting alone.

Pigeon Forge is a quaint little town but offers a world of fun, adventure, and exploration opportunities. Whichever activity you choose, take lots of pictures and share them with friends and family. It is a town you’ll want to visit again and again.

For the adventurer, there are lots of outdoor activities. But for the one who wants peace and appreciates serenity, there are stunning lakes and waterfalls to see. All in all, we guarantee an incredible, memorable experience for your family.
