6 Habits That Will Keep Your House Clean

Guest post contributed by Louise Myers

The dream of every housewife is to enter always into a clean and tidy house, where absolutely every object has its own place. The reality, however, is much different. When we come home after a hard day at work, our only desire is to relax and we rarely bother ourselves to clean. When we can’t stand the chaos around us we promise ourselves that tomorrow we will put everything in order. However, there are also moments when we are too tired and we just ignore the same chaos.

If only there was a way to keep our home clean without putting in so much effort. The only way to maintain our home clean all the time is by implementing some cleaning procedures in our daily routine.

Here are a couple of cleaning duties that can help you keep your house clean. If you turn them into habits your dream to enter always a clean and tidy home may come true.

1. Always clean the kitchen after cooking

The kitchen is one of the most frequently used rooms in every house and there is no wonder why it becomes so dirty in such a small period of time. If you want to prepare the food for your family always in a clean and sanitized kitchen, spend some time every evening and clean it. You can wash the dishes and put them in the cabinet, wipe the kitchen countertop and sweep the floor. It will take you just a couple of minutes.

2. Tidy up common areas every evening

The living room is the place where we drink our coffee, eat a homemade cake or just lay comfortably on the couch. Therefore, it also gets dirty pretty fast. In order to maintain it clean and cozy, every evening take the used glasses or plates back into the kitchen, throw away any unnecessary brochures and wipe the table.

3. Ventilate the bedrooms every morning

You should always leave the windows in all bedrooms wide open for at least a couple of minutes every morning so any bacteria can get out of your home. Don’t leave your dirty clothes everywhere, always put them in the dirty basket.

4. Don’t walk inside with dirty shoes

If you want to keep the floor and the carpets of your home clean, Top Cleaning Services London suggests to always take off your shoes near the door. Another idea is to keep all shoes in a boot tray. In this way, they won’t be scattered on the floor in the entryway.

5. Clean on the go

Very often when we make something dirty, we don’t clean it directly and promise ourselves to take care of it later. If you want to maintain your home clean, you should stop doing this. Whenever you make a stain on the upholstery or spill a small amount of liquid on the floor clean it directly. It is much easier to remove a spot while it’s fresh. This will contribute to the overall good look of your home.

6. Always put everything in its place

Never keep in your home things that you don’t need. Big piles of brochures and old mail are only going to collect dust. Don’t bring them in your house every day. If you don’t want to live in a constant mess learn to put back everything in its place after you use it. This will also improve the overall look of your home.

If cleaning is not among your preferred activities, these tips may be really helpful to you. If you want your home to be always neat and tidy, do as Benjamin Franklin says and don’t put off.
