It has been a pleasure working with our partner, FixRunner. This article contains affiliate links.
FixRunner is a company specializing in WordPress help & maintenance for WP websites. This company can help with any WordPress task inclining to increase the speed of your site, thus, increasing the chances that people will actually stay longer to browse. That’s important because speed is the number one factor for people these days. Think about it. How many times have you simply left a site because it was too slow? Probably more than you can count. After all, the internet is a big place, and you can always find your information elsewhere.
That’s why FixRunner is so important. Their service will optimize your WordPress site’s speed, making for a more user-friendly experience. Outside of that, there’s another big, big, BIG reason to get your website running as fast as possible – the Google algorithm. That’s right, Google is rolling out yet another algorithm tweak, and this one is going to focus squarely on prioritizing websites that are fast. Google’s algorithm tweaks are all about improving the user’s experience, and as we just talked about, a slow website isn’t a great experience. Essentially in the near future, Google will be giving higher rankings to sites that have faster speeds. If your website is lagging, it’s time to improve your user’s experience. That’s where FixRunner comes in.
FixRunner Helped Me
My site used to be really fast, but over the years it has slowed down. Between changing themes, installing HTML for ads, and a host of other changes, all of which most of us bloggers and WordPress owners have done, my site became really bogged down. When FixRunner reached out to me, I was eager to partner with them to get my site back on track. Well, ladies and gentlemen, they got me back on track in no time flat and without any site interruptions!
Before My Optimization
As you can see, my blog left a lot to be desired. My performance was only 70%, and my structure was only 75%. In addition to that, I had render-blocking resources, an inefficient cache system, no text compression, unused JavaScript, and more. My total Largest Contentful Paint was 1.7s, my Total Blocking Time was 84ms, and my Cumulative Layout Shift was 0.09. All of that worked together to make my site considerably slower than it needed to be, which led to a poor user experience, and if left unchecked, a poor ranking with Google.
After My Optimization
Well, look at that from 70% to 90% and 75% to 95% respectively. Nice. Using their knowledge and mysterious optimization powers, because I don’t really understand any of it, they vastly improved my speed by tweaking my site across the board. My Largest Contentful Pain dropped to 0.9s, my Total Blocking Time dropped to an impressive 19ms, and my Cumulative Layout Shift was dropped all the way down to 0.01. That’s an impressive improvement.
My Site is Racing Along Thanks to FixRunner
Thanks to the folks at FixRunner, my site is racing along. I mean it is noticeably faster. Much faster. By removing all the junk and making the processes within my site more efficient, FixRunner vastly improved my site’s speed which will make me more popular with my audience as well as Google, and you can’t beat that.
FixRunner did an amazing job on my site, and I think they’ll be a huge help for other WordPress users. Fellow bloggers and online business owners, if you have a WordPress site, I highly encourage you to give this company a try. They really deliver!
I haven’t even thought about how all these things could possibly affect my user experience, really in depth post about how these things such as un-used Javascript can actually slow down your page!
I know! We get so focused on publishing, not thinking about site health and user experience.
