This is a sponsored post for Always.
Together we can end Period Poverty. Did you know that nearly 1 in 5 girls have missed school because they can’t afford period protection? It’s not just school they miss, they are also missing out on activities they love.
This hits home for me. I have two daughters ages 12 and 16. We have not had the misfortune of not being able to afford pads and period protection. But, what if the tables were turned and we were in need? As much as I want to help these girls, I know if we were on the other side, we would want to be helped as well.
Always Live #LikeAGirl supported by Always and Walmart, is all about helping girls stay confident. They have done that by encouraging girls to stay in sports and participate in daily activities, allowing them to persevere no matter what happens. Their mission is to tackle period poverty and boost girls’ confidence. Let’s face it, puberty can really be tough!
To help #EndPeriodPoverty, Always and Walmart are donating a year’s supply of period products to 50 teams in 50 states. Watch this inspiring video to find out more.
This touching video really impacted me as a woman and a mom. Every time I watch it, it makes me cry. Sadly, I was unaware of period poverty. These young ladies should not have to miss school and activities because of their lack of necessities.
During puberty, girls’ confidence plummets and having to miss activities because of lack of access to period products only makes this drop in their self-confidence worsen.
A simple thing like having the products they need in order to go about their daily activities will help build confidence that they would otherwise miss out on.
Please join us in spreading the word to #EndPeriodPoverty. Use your influence on social media for social good!
You can support Always and Walmart in their mission by sharing this important video: Always Live #LikeAGirl
This is a good program as we ladies should not be forced to miss out on life. I think there should be not taxes either on these products
I am so glad Always is doing this campaign. I will check out the video for sure. More needs to be known about this.
Thanks, Amber!
wow what a great campaign! this is surely the way to go for 2019! thanks for sharing!
This is such a great initive. I’ve never had to worry about not having the supplies I need and now I want to help those who are struggling with this.
I adore this movement and I didnt know about it prior to reading your post. I have SO MANY clients who are homeless or simply do not have the funds to afford sanitary items and I simply cannot bear the thought of them not having what they need so I will purchase some for them.
Thank you for your support, Jessica!
I love this campaign. There are certain things that should be provided to us all, and this is one of them.
This is such a nice campaign. It’s really important to support these type of initiative. Hygiene products are just essential and they should be accessible to anyone.

What an incredible movement! I was not aware of this before reading your post, but I will definitely be spreading the word from now on! This is powerful stuff!
Thanks, Alexandra!
I will spread the word also because I am very active in social and in this sector! Keep it up!
Thank you!
struggling to have supplies is something I never thought about until I started volunteering at a homeless shelter. women and teens I=on the streets have no help, its so sad and the number one most requested product.
I love this post and spreading the word about such an important cause. It’s shocking that there is period poverty in the world.
I have heard of this campaign. Such an important cause. Period is part of women’s life and they should always have the necessary equipment readily available. It’s also time that the tampon tax is cancelled everywhere
I had t really put much thought to this issue so didn’t realise it was such a problem. What an awesome campaign!
Cheers to the Always #LiveLikeAGirl campaign! It’s so unfortunate when girls miss school because they can’t afford to have pads.
This is a great campaign and It’s shocking that there is period poverty in the world.
I will spread the word about this!Education for girls is such an important issue and no girl should miss out due to not having necessary supplies
I had never heard of this kind of poverty before. But it does make sense. And it’s got to be hard to deal with. Great that Walmart is helping out in this regard.
I had no idea this was even an issue. How sad! Having to deal with periods while in school is bad enough, but to not even be able to afford sanitary products makes it so much worse!
This is a great campaign. This kind of initiative should need to be appreciated and encouraged. I will spread the word in this.
I didn’t know that there is a crisis on period protection. I grew up to a home where these things are always available, my Mom tells us it is important than tissue papers.
This is a good campaign initiative and hope for its amazing success.
I absolutely love this. I hate how even in today’s society girls and women are still supposed to be hush hush about our periods. I will gladly throw my girls a period party,
Great campaign for women and it’s about time/. 🙂 Hope they keep it up.
