Start the New Year Off With Family Game Night And Winning Moves

When I was younger, we had family game night every Wednesday night. It was much fun with the family around the kitchen table, playing board games like Clue, Yahtzee, Monopoly and Candy Land. I have carried on the tradition of family game night with my boys, on Monday nights.

So, I was excited when I got the chance to review a few games from Winning Moves. If you haven’t heard of Winning Moves, you have been missing out! They have been in business since 1995 and they are the leader when it comes to action games, adult party games, board games, classic board games and puzzles.

I chose to review Rubik’s Cube, Clue and Yahtzee!

Okay, so maybe Rubik’s Cube 4×4 isn’t exactly a family game, but my boys love trying to solve the puzzle, which they haven’t done as of yet. I have to admit that I have spent an hour or two playing around with the Rubik’s Cube too! It is so much fun and highly addicting! The cool thing about this Rubik’s Cube is that its made from molded plastic. When I had one of these as a kid, it has stickers on it, so it was easy to cheat! Now, those days of cheating are gone! Appropriate for ages 8+.

Clue Classic Edition has to be my favorite board game ever! I love murder mystery games and that’s exactly what type of game Clue is. In this game, you need to determine who the killer is, what room the murder took place and what type of weapon was used in the crime. Appropriate for ages 8+, 3-6 players.

My boys absolutely love Classic Yahtzee.  I used to play it all of the time when I was younger since it was my mom’s favorite game. The goal of this game is to make specific combinations, using 5 dice, within 13 rounds. It’s been around for more than 50 years and is still a household favorite.

We’ve really enjoyed the games from Winning Moves. Getting everyone together for fun quality time is always a win-win.
