What if you are on your favorite couch or your beloved bed, yet you feel restless or uncomfortable?
It is a disturbing thought, but it happens all too often. There can be many reasons for restlessness and discomfort. First of all, there are several medical reasons. It can be anything from anxiety to a skin condition. Some underlying health issues, such as thyroid malfunction can also lead to restlessness. So, get yourself medically evaluated to rule out those medical reasons.
However, if the restlessness is more of physical discomfort and only confined to your own home, there may be a different reason altogether. It could be a house cleanliness issue.

Check for Dust
Dust particles are literally floating in the air, and there is no way you can completely get rid of them from your house. Dust comes off everything from our skin to the clothes we wear. Too much of dust, however, is not good for your health. It can cause allergies, irritation, and itching.
You might be wiping a layer of dust off every surface every other day, but many of these particles are deep settled. Curtains, throws, and carpets are primary places where dust particles can hide and settle. It can pile up in hard to reach corners of your furniture and decorative items.
If you haven’t thoroughly cleaned every nook and corner in a while, the restlessness can be attributed to excessive dust in your home. Go for deep cleaning, carpet cleaning, and wash all your curtains and throws to eliminate the issue.
Check for Mold
Mold may be just another reason behind the restless feeling that compromises your level of comfort. Mold is dangerous for human health and can cause severe problems. Too much mold in your home pollutes the indoor air, and you might feel discomfort. Some of the symptoms include stuffy nose, eye irritation, and itchy skin.
Many people don’t realize they have mold until it becomes too big of a problem. Prolonged exposure can lead to severe breathing issues and lung related diseases, as well. Whether you can see it or not, it is always a good idea to call for a professional mold check at least once a year. This will let you nip the issue in the bud.
In case there is mold, call for immediate removal by a team of experts. It is not something where you should consider DIYs and home remedies.
Check for Bed Bugs
Bed bugs are nothing short of devil’s spawn. They breed too fast, and they are sneaky. They can turn your cozy little home into a corner of hell. You won’t even know they are the ones causing that discomfort before it is too late. Check for Radon

Radon poisoning isn’t accidental. Sadly, radon is quite commonly found in the air around us. However, it is more dangerous when it is found in the indoor air. Some people, however, do experience discomfort and restlessness due to excessive radon levels.

Make a Cleanliness Schedule
Once you are done with a cleanliness check and the problem is effectively resolved, you need to ensure proper prevention in the future.
Work on a proper cleanliness schedule to prevent any discomfort and restlessness. Divide your cleanliness checklist into four parts; daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly cleaning. Keep in mind that in order to provide a comfortable environment, your home needs a deep cleaning session at least twice a year.
If you are following a good cleaning routine on a daily basis, you won’t have to deal with discomfort or restlessness.
If you want your home to feel comfortable all year round, every day, and every hour you spend in, you need to make sure it is clean enough. Proper cleaning means you get a hygienic environment that doesn’t compromise your health or that of your family.
So, if comfort is what you desire, cleanliness is what you should focus on.
