We all want our homes to smell amazing, right? However, you likely don’t want to use harmful, chemical sprays, correct? Well, the good news is that you don’t have to because you can make your own scents with items you likely already have in your pantry or refrigerator!
Lemon and Rosemary Air Freshener
Ingredients:
1 mason jar
2 lemons, sliced
3 rosemary sprigs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Water
Directions:
In the mason jar, add lemon slices, rosemary sprigs, and vanilla extract. Fill the mason jar with water. If you are not going to use this right away, you can store it, covered, in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. If you are using it right away, pour the contents, along with another cup of water into a pan, on the stove, bring to a boil, then reduce to low simmer and allow to simmer for several hours, adding water as needed.
Grapefruit and Cinnamon Air Freshener
Ingredients:
1 cinnamon stick
Peel from 1 grapefruit
Dash of nutmeg
Water
Directions:
In a saucepan, add all the ingredients. Bring to a boil, then turn the heat down to low and allow to simmer for several hours, adding water as needed.
Apple, Orange, and Cinnamon Potpourri

Small clear bowl
½ apple, sliced thin
½ orange, sliced thin

Lavender and Clove Potpourri
Ingredients:
Small, clear bowl
Dried flowers, roses are best, but any kind can be used
Lavender essential oil

These look so easy and sound really great
I love this April. I never thought to make my own. I avoid those chemical plug-in air fresheners so this is a good alternative. Lemon and rosemary sounds wonderful.
Thank you, I love scents!
