I have mentioned before that I run a small rescue out of my large home. It’s just my husband and I so we have plenty of room for furry babies needing a home. We currently have 16 cats (it was 17 but we had an adoption, yay!) and 2 dogs. With that being said, I’m sure you can imagine how dire various pet products are to keeping everything clean and organized. Not just that, but pet products to keep the furry babies happy and well cared for.
Needless to say, it can get quite stinky when a group of kittens are being housed in the kitten room. They’re learning to use the litter box, eating canned food which smells horrible, and not to mention the farts that result from that canned food. Having the windows open and the fan on still doesn’t help as much as we need it to.
One of the most helpful pet products you can get is an air purifier like the XUANRUS HEPA Air Purifier. As you can see, it’s much smaller than you would expect which is nice because it’s easy to hide or stick on the wall out of the way. It removes up to 99% of air pollutants. Now, it also helps the smell. I can attest to this because we stuck it in the kitten room as soon as it came. It didn’t remove the smell completely however, it definitely helped. Not to mention, we had one kitten with allergies that was getting a gooby eye. It no longer had issues once the purifier had been in there for 24 hours.
It’s pretty obvious that summer has set in because here in Missouri, you can barely breathe when stepping outside it’s so hot and humid. This doesn’t stop the two beagles from wanting to get out of the house for some exercise. They usually run around the backyard but there’s not much shade back there so a walk or two during the day ends up being better.
Our walks are only about a mile long. However, the heat is so heavy that by the time we get halfway through, the boys are wanting some water to help cool them down. It’s not easy carrying a water bottle and a bowl without carrying a little bag. No one wants to carry extra stuff when it’s hot outside. The XUANRUS Dog Travel Water Bottle is extremely helpful for moments just like these.
Not only is it just like carrying your own water bottle, it comes with a lock so you can allow some water into the small bowl-like top on the top of the bottle. This alleviates the need to carry something to dump the water in. Did I mention there’s a little spot for food or treats? I actually found out it works great to put ice in as well to keep the water cooler longer.
I love finding pet products that make my job as a pet parent easier. If it makes me pets more comfortable and cared for, then it makes me happy as a clam.
It’s wonderful that you take in so many rescues. I can’t imagine the expense of feeding and caring for that many animals. I’m glad you find ways to make it better for them and your family.
