Indeed, a survey published in the National Library of Medicine reports that over 75 million women suffer UI, with over 30 percent in a survey stating that they experienced issues at least monthly. While UI is still a more common issue among women, many aging males will have to deal with it as well.

Some foods may cause temporary UI. Common culprits include alcohol, caffeine, artificial sweeteners, chili peppers, and carbonated drinks, including seltzer water. Medications could also cause these muscles to relax, resulting in leakage. Conditions like pregnancy could put enough pressure on the pelvic floor muscles to essentially overwhelm them.

The good news is that there are a variety of ways you can strengthen these muscles. Strengthening the muscles could help folks control UI caused by medications, medical conditions, and general aging. The right strength training exercises could help folks strengthen their pelvic floor muscles. Another excellent form of treatment is using an Emsella Chair.
