5 Vacation Spots to Consider Taking the Kids

Do you remember what a typical day in your childhood looked like? Probably not. However, you most likely can recall every last detail of a family vacation that blew your mind. If you want your kids to experience the same magical vacation, take them to any of these destinations.

1. Miami

Miami is on most people’s radar as a tourist destination, though it periodically hits the news when it looks like it may be hit by a hurricane. Miami is a large, thriving city with a strong housing market. Miami houses for sale includes much of southeast Florida and more than five million people. Miami Beach can become a party scene at night, but during the day, strolling its historical and colorful streets, dining at one of the many Ocean Avenue outdoor restaurants, and playing along the seemingly endless miles of beaches makes it a great place for families. Miami Beach has the most tropical beaches in the continental United States.

2. Riviera Maya

The gorgeous Caribbean coastline of Mexico’s Riviera Maya is a favorite vacation destination for families all over the world. The Riviera Maya offers much that makes Mexico’s Caribbean so special. You and your family can swim and snorkel in cenotes, sinkholes formed by underground rivers; splash at eco-adventure parks; explore magnificent Mayan ruins and sun on white-sand beaches. The Riviera Maya stretches along Mexico’s Caribbean coast for 86 miles, from just south of Puerto Morelos to Punta Allen.

3. Wisconsin Dells

Many probably wouldn’t think a 19-square-mile city in central Wisconsin with a population of just over 5,000 would garner much attention. However, the Wisconsin Dells are much different than most small towns. Planning a family vacation to the Wisconsin Dells is all about getting wet: this kid-friendly getaway is packed with award-winning destination-worthy water parks.
