So, you have a spare room in your home that has been sitting empty for a while now, perhaps it used to be one of your children’s bedrooms before they left home, or maybe it has always been ‘that room’ where you slowly accumulate clutter, it is time to give that room a new life and turn it into a space that will improve your life.

But what can you do with that extra room? Well, read on for some inspiration on what you can turn it into!

Create a Welcoming Guest Bedroom

First off, you can utilize your home’s spare room by turning it into a welcoming guest room if you frequently have friends and family staying over at your home, you can have a delightful space made up for them.

To create a guest bedroom, you will want the basics and essentials for bedrooms such as a bed, with a nice mattress and soft bed linens; a set of double roller blinds, to keep the room dark at night but let light in during the day; bedside table, so that your guest has somewhere to keep their personal items; and a small lamp, so that they can stay up late without disrupting anyone else’s sleep.

Just by doing that, you will have made a lovely, welcoming home-away-from-home for all your friends and family!

To create your own home office space you’ll need some essentials like an ergonomic desk and chair so that you can work in comfort throughout the day; a filling cabinet, for you to safely store any important documents; and a coffee machine, so that you’re not running back and forth to your kitchen every time you want a hot drink.

And in a blink of an eye, you have transformed your old spare room into a brilliant home office for you to work in from home.
