Simply because there are numerous benefits in drinking water, and drinking it helps the body function properly. Some of these benefits include rejuvenating skin cells, lubricating joints, helping with weight loss, and regulating body temperature. When drinking water, you are helping your body to look young, refreshed and well-rested. That does not mean that you should drink too much water because you can get sick from it. If you dislike the taste of water, there are other drinks that can be equally good for you. Those include lemonade, unsweetened herbal tea, green tea, kombucha, smoothies, or almond milk. 

Minimize stress

Another seemingly eye-rolling advice coming your way, watch out! But seriously, if you want to live a healthy life of wellness and feel good about yourself, keep the stress to a minimum. Now, we are aware that certain situations can be stressful and that you can’t control everything – otherwise, you would be locked in a room, never to be seen again. But there are other situations that you can prevent from stressing you out. We live in a digital era where social media has almost become a competition on who has the best life. Reality is, sadly, far from it. These types of competitions leave you feeling empty and wishing for things you will probably never have. So, what can you do about it? Unfollow all the influencers that don’t promote things you enjoy in, stop watching and reading the news (or filter the news to be a little lighter), and start following pages with your favorite animals. Now,  the true life of wellness does not mean that you have to stop eating everything that makes you happy, like burgers and fries, pizza, ice-cream and so on. But, it does mean that you need to balance your nutrition. If you are not sure how to do it, you can always check with the doctor. There are many different diets to try out, one of them being nutrition according to your blood type. However, regardless of your preference, blood type, height and weight, something that you should eat daily is fruit and vegetables. Different fruit and vegetables are high in protein, fiber, amino acids, and most importantly – vitamins. Combine water intake with vegetable intake and you have half the job done.  In case you are worried about how are you going to accomplish eating the right kind of food and at the right time, then the right choice for you is meal prepping. And If you aren’t all that good at cooking, you can always get vegetarian meals delivered to your home instead. Be active

Another great way to spend time in nature and get some fresh air, while also having company is power walking – a great way to burn off some extra calories by making new friends or enjoying with the old ones. 

Take time for yourself

Many women forget this simple, yet effective step towards having and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. We as women get tangled into everyday crises, housework, and jobs, that we forget how to take care of ourselves. Have a day, or just a few hours every week, dedicated only to yourself. Tell your household that this is a special time and they should leave it to be your own. During that time, go and treat yourself to something you really enjoy doing. If it’s a cup of good coffee, go and have it in peace and quiet. If it’s reading a good book, do it, even in the comfort of your own house, just don’t forget to lock the door! If it is a blow-out, go to your salon and have them style your hair the way you like it. If it’s shopping, even just window-shopping, go for it – after all, that is also exercise – you are walking! If it is too much to go weekly, once every other week you can go for a mani-pedi. Meditation is also a good way to treat yourself – it’s free, you don’t have to go anywhere, and you can do it as much as you’d like.
