Hot flashes are absolutely annoying to deal with. Hot flashes usually come along with menopause, with symptoms like sweating, warm skin, and intense heat. Here are some great home remedies for you to try so you can get some relief from those pesky hot flashes.

Black Cohosh – Black Cohosh is a plant that is commonly used in Europe for treating hot flashes and other symptoms of menopause. It is suggested that you take a minimum of 20 milligrams of Black Cohosh every day to relieve your symptoms.

Flaxseed – Flaxseed features substances that are similar to the hormone estrogen. You can use flax seed oil when you are cooking or add 2-3 tablespoons of ground flax seed to foods like yogurt, smoothies, or oatmeal.

Vitamins C – Vitamin C contains bioflavonoids, which help some women reduce how often they get hot flashes during menopause. Eating foods that are high in Vitamin C including peas, citrus fruits, bell peppers, broccoli, tomatoes, berries, and dark leafy greens is a great place to start.

Sage Tea – Sage tea is known to help lessen the symptoms of hot flashes. To make sage tea, you can use either 1 teaspoon of dried sage or 1 tablespoon of fresh sage leaves. Add either one to a cup of boiling water, allow to steep for 5-6 minutes, and strain. You can add honey or lemon as well. It is recommended that you drink sage twice a day for relief from hot flashes.

Soy Foods – If you like soy foods like tofu, you are in luck. Soy foods can help to balance out your hormone levels. It is recommended that consuming two soy food servings each day can help with hot flashes.

Apple Cider Vinegar – Apple cider vinegar has helped many women get relief from hot flashes. This is because apple cider vinegar is great for regulating your body’s toxins which your body is trying to get rid of by sweating. At least once a day, but preferably twice a day, in a glass of water or juice, add two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar.
