Home Remedies for Fatigue

Fatigue is something most of us experience from time to time in our lives. It is the feelings of being tired, exhausted, and lethargic, all rolled up into one. Causes of fatigue can range from lifestyle factors like lack of sleep or an unhealthy diet to medical conditions such as anemia or obesity to physical factors like stress and depression.

Here are some great home remedies to help with fatigue

Milk, honey, and licorice- Drinking milk with honey and licorice twice a day can help with fatigue. Add 2 tablespoons of honey and 1 teaspoon of licorice powder to a glass of warm water. Mix well before drinking.

Asian ginseng- Asian ginseng has been used for thousands of years to boost energy and treat exhaustion. To fight off fatigue, take 2 grams of ginseng powder once a day for 4-5 weeks.

Carrot juice- Carrot juice is a great way to keep you full of energy all day long. In the morning, along with a healthy breakfast, drink a glass of fresh carrot juice.

Indian gooseberries- Gooseberries are known for their medicinal properties and are thought to be a great remedy for fighting fatigue. By creating juice from the gooseberries and drinking three times a day, you can help treat your fatigue. Start by taking out the seeds from six gooseberries. Then, crush the seeds, add to 1 ¼ cup of hot water, boil for 15 minutes, allow to cool off, strain, and drink.

Potato water- Yes, you read that right…potato water. While this may not sound like the most appealing thing to drink, it does help to replenish potassium in your body, which causes you to be tired when your body is lacking it. Potato water is easy to make. Slice a potato and add the slice to a glass of water. Allow to set in the fridge overnight and drink it the following morning. You can choose to peel the potato or leave the skin on.
