For the majority of us, our day starts in the bedroom and ends in the bedroom. This means that your bedroom will not always be the most organized room in your house. Here are some helpful bedroom organization hacks.
Use under the bed for storage – Underneath your bed is a whole area that is going to waste. So, why not use it for storage space. You can use boxes, baskets, or anything else you want to store items that you don’t use often like seasonal clothing or bed linens.
Use shelves on wall perimeters – The perimeter of the bedroom walls is probably the least-used space. The walled perimeter is 12 inches below the bedroom ceiling. By adding shelves around the room’s perimeter, you can easily showcase books, knick-knacks, and other items you don’t use very often.
Use old suitcases as a nightstand – You can easily create a vintage nightstand that also doubles as storage space. Just stack three old suitcases and you have an instant nightstand. Use the suitcases to store seasonal items like sweaters and blankets.
Organize closet by color – By organizing the clothes in your bedroom closet by color, you can find an outfit to wear in the morning easier and faster. To do this, take everything out of your closet so you can see what you have. Then, place clothing in the closet by color, starting with neutrals, blacks, whites, grays, and browns then organize by colors.
Garment bag for Christmas items – If you are like a lot of people, you have rolls of wrapping and bags of bows just thrown in various spots throughout the house. Garment bags are perfect for storing those loose rolls of wrapping paper and bags of bows.
No matter what your style preference is, find what appeals to you. Happy organizing!
