5 Hacks to Help You Take Care of the House as a Stay at Home Mom

Being a stay at home mom is not easy, but that does not mean it is impossible. There are ways to simplify your life in a few ways. The following are five hacks that can help you take care of your home as a stay at home.

Chalk it Up

One thing you can keep at home is chalk. This material absorbs moisture and can be very helpful to you in several ways; for one, you can dust your tools to keep them rust-free. You can also hang a cheesecloth filled with chalk in a closet to keep it from smelling musty.

Cleansing Tennis

A tennis ball can keep your pool a little cleaner. All you have to do is toss it into your pool, and let it float around for a few hours. Its surface will absorb the oils left behind, such as body oils and any substances left behind from lotions or moisturizers. It is an easy way to keep your pool as clean as it should be without doing much work.

Spot Cleaning

Some spots are a little hard to clean, but that does not mean you have to give up on them. You can clean some of those spots around your home with a drill and a foam polishing ball that is normally used to clean cars. These kinds of polishing balls were made to spot clean tough dirt spots without scratching the surface of the car so you can use that to your advantage at home without getting too tired due to all that scrubbing you might have done otherwise.

Baking Soda and Vinegar

Baking soda and vinegar can do wonders for your home; for example, you can pour down a mixture of baking soda and vinegar down your drains from time to time. Not only does this mix help keep pipes clean, but it also keeps your drains smelling good. Of course, it might be a good idea to keep a bathroom plumber on hand because a plumbing emergency can still creep up on you at any time.

Nail Polish Away

Glass does not last forever, and your window could develop a hole. A little nail polish can actually help cover up that hole given enough time. All you have to do is apply a coat, wait until it dries, and apply another until the hole is sealed. You can also fix window screens the same way though you are probably going to have to apply a number of coats before the screen is fixed.

These hacks are easy enough and do not take much time to do, so they are perfect for the stay at home mom who can use all the extra time she can get.
