About Dojo by BullGuard

Dojo by BullGuard is the world’s most comprehensive smart home cybersecurity solution and was built from the ground up as an enterprise-grade, network security service for the smart home. There are billions of Internet connected devices on the market today – from smart alarms, thermostats, baby monitors, smart appliances, lighting, locks and more. Dojo by BullGuard was built to protect them all.

In this tech age that we live in, it’s imperative that we stay protected. Cyber threats are at an all-time high and you don’t have to be vulnerable to attacks any longer.

Dojo was designed to provide cybersecurity to the home and all of the smart devices connected to the Wi-Fi network. In addition, Dojo App allows you to block unauthorized devices and keeps you informed of the risk and/or a privacy breach.

Let’s assume there is a risk or privacy breach

First of all, the Dojo App will notify your mobile device at once. If you are at home, you will see a visual indicator light up inside the pebble. Depending on the situation, you will see:

  • Green – Good
  • Yellow – Dojo found something and took care of it
  • Red – breach was blocked and may require input to your network

Dojo set up is simple

Connect Dojo to your Wi-Fi router, download Dojo App on your mobile device, and Dojo does the rest.  Should you need assistance, the Dojo team is available via phone, chat or email.

My Thoughts

I am amazed at how Dojo by BullGuard studies our home network constantly to protect us at all times. We do not have a lot of smart appliances, however, we do use our router for 2 computers and 6 mobile devices including a mobile booster.

As parents of preteens and a teenager, we jumped at the chance for added protection. Not to mention, we do online banking, bill paying, homeschool, and shopping via the web. As you can see, the internet is an integral part of our daily lives.

You can personalize the app and name each device detected by Dojo. This allows you to know immediately who in your family is at risk if a situation arises. I have to admit, it is impressive.

The other day I was simply looking up a new recipe and Dojo immediately prompted my husband and let him know that my mobile device was on a phishing website. I have come to expect predators to be on shopping websites, but it never occurred to me that they are lurking on recipe sites as well.

Of course, my husband enjoys playing with the app. He teasingly blocks the kids’ mobile devices (and their friends) from having internet access through the router using the Dojo app. He waits to hear (smiling), “Dad! The internet isn’t working!” and he laughs. I’m assuming it’s the control that amuses him. Either way, the dishes seem to get done when there is no internet.
